Start things off with the highest BASE AC gear you can find. That will help out a lot for the first day or two.

Use a TJK until tank can hold his own.

I wouldn't advise a single tank early on unless you have a lot of money saved up and willing to spend. NCB BA costs get high fast. Problem with running a tank early on is you'll be outgrowing your equipment too fast. So unless you have a ton of gear for the levels up as you go along, then you'll end up having to either bs the stuff as you go, or use the rentals to keep upgrading. Wait until later, it's much better to get your mpr up to a nice level and then switch over to a tank and your income from battles will stabilize around 150k mpr and up. IF you truly insist that you start with a Tank, then I would have to suggest UC. This way you won't have to worry so much about upgrading your weapons. I would also suggest that you get ahold of RoE, preferably named.

I'm doing alright, but Mikel is still whoopin' me backside. That said, I'm also whoopin' a handful of people. :)

I started as a tank, and couldn't use my Elven weaponry because my PR shot through the roof. So I had to use some cheap store weapons until I got to a suitable weapon allowance. Enough of my babbling, start as a mage, get to a decent level, then convert to a tank, that's the easy way. Why didn't I do it? Because I'm a REAL tank. :P

Go Single Tanks! WOOOO!
