Love Poem Contest (in Contests)

Due to Blarg's recent upbringing of a beautiful poem, I want to start a contest about love poems.

Write your own love poem here, must be your own, not someone elses, not even your best friends who's over at your house for a little.

So post here, winner will get 100k and any donations that are send to "Banky".

If you want to help judge, CM me, I want to get 1 or 2 people to help judge.

Second place will get 50k, because i'm feeling generous =D

It seems to me
That every day is just
A day closer

I hear your voice and see your face in every passing second
I yearn to hear you say my name and cant wait to see you again

OK maybe this is not your average love poem, that is OK I am feeling sort of "Dylanesque" this eve, so you get

So Tall

She asked me once for the hundreth time
Give me one of your loving rhyme
I gave her something she could not see
A small and minor part of me
It was worth its weight is solid lead
And no I speak not of my head
She took it in hand and tossed it up
I toasted her with my champagne cup

It floated high onto the floor
I kissed her once then no more
We shared a second for the next hour
I plucker her red-rimmed gemlike flower
Then she said you have what wasnt mine
And I replied whats mine is thine
She said thats fair I guess
So I talked her out of her Sunday best

So you wonder what she got?
What was it shaped like is it hot?
If it glowed or perhaps it smelled?
Maybe it made noises when I yelled
You will never know if you do not try
A tasty slice of humble pie

Give something of yourself
no matter how small
To that person you know
Makes you feel so tall

Limerick Love

"What is love?" you ask.
I'll take time for the task.
You might not like my mood,
Love isn't always so good.
But I promise I won't wear a mask.

Love can be chance.
It can land with a glance.
Make the decisions you should,
What feels right, what feels good,
But know that there's more to the dance.

Let's start with the start...
It feels so from the heart.
There's nothing more true,
Than love felt through and through.
You can't even spell "apart".

So two become one.
Don't question how it's done.
It's how we're meant to be. (Right?)
Hold on and don't leg go? (Hold tight.)
Don't forget to have fun!

Here's begins the stray.
Some strange push away.
Or is the push the good part?
Maybe I'm not as smart...
...As I thought I was that day.

Focus.

Love is great, don't get me wrong.
Every movie, every drive, every song.
But which part is he?
Have I lost who is me?
Has my love been not me all along?

Here begins the doubt...
Surely, I'm not what this is about?
But I'm part of the pair.
Shouldn't I still be in there?
Hush fool! Just be devout!

That lie lasts a while,
Then resigns to denial.
This isn't love I have known.
I just don't like being alone.
Who'd have know I could be so vile?

But I'm not going to settle.
God help you if you meddle.
If I compromise myself,
Then love's better on the shelf.
"Love me, love me not?" Screw the petals.

Don't cringe.

This isn't something new.
You know what to do.
Stick with the test.

"To thine own self be true!"

Love will find a way? Good. Be sure it earns it's passage.

Country Girl

"I Miss You"

To see you when I wake up, is a gift I didn't think could be real
To know that you feel the same, as I do, is a Three-fold utopian dream

I see your picture, I smell your skin on, the empty pillow next to mine
You have only been gone ten days, but already I am wasting away
I know I'll see you again
Whether far or soon

Love: From the perspective of the male.

When I was 14, I hoped that one day I would have a girlfriend.

When I was 16, I got a girlfriend,
but there was no passion so I decided I needed a passionate girl with a zest for life.
In college I dated a passionate girl, but she was too emotional.
Everything was an emergency; she was a drama queen, cried all the time and threatened suicide.
So I decided I needed a girl with stability.

When I was 25, I found a very stable girl but she was boring.
She was totally predictable and never got excited about anything.
Life became so dull that I decided that I needed a girl with some excitement.

When I was 28, I found an exciting girl, but I couldn't keep up with her.
She rushed from one thing to another, never settling on anything.
She did mad, impetuous things and made me miserable as often as happy.
She was great fun initially and very energetic, but directionless.
So I decided to find a girl with some real ambition.

When I turned 29, I found a smart, ambitious girl with her feet planted firmly on the ground and married her.
She was so ambitious that she divorced me and took everything I owned.

I am older and wiser now, and am just looking for a girl with large breasts.

Love is never being right even when you know you are.
Love is never ever having room for your clothes again.
Love is never acknowledging the existence of an attractive woman again.
Ever.

Love knows no fat. Just white lies.

Love is dinner with her friends. Love is the pub with yours.
Love is never mentioning that ex with the long legs.
Love is shopping. For shoes.
Where the first pair you looked at seven hours ago
Are the ones that you take home.

Love is spending Christmas with her parents and five minutes on the drive home with yours.
Love knows no action movies.
Love knows only soap operas and reality television. Love doesn't like hangovers. Or big fried breakfasts.

Love is always hungry because love cannot live on lettuce alone.


But love is cuddles on the sofa and laughing until dawn.
And succumbing to the curry and the beer on the way home.
And standing at the bus stop not caring about the rain.
Love is always smiling when you wake up.
Cups of coffee in the May sunshine in the garden.

And sometimes love is forever.

Not always. But sometimes.....

Nobody's going to tick all the boxes.
So don't be disappointed when it all goes belly up.
But when you're lucky you're lucky
Because there are checklists that you never knew existed
If you can laugh you've got it good
Because laughter is a better foundation than you'll ever find

Today, everything was fine fine fine
Until roundabout quarter to 9, suddenly I found myself in a bind, a bind
Was it something I said?
Something I read
And manifest that's getting you down?

I'd sooner sleep by an open fire and wake up fried!

Lilacs at my head and daisies at my feet
