ok i think i got it
cloak [1] (6)/arrows [8x1]
+ /
boots [4] (4)/
=
compound [5 x 10] (9)
arrows [8x1] makes the 9 on compound (8+1)

no no no this thing messed up when i posted it...
ok i think i got it
cloak [1] + boots [4] = compound [5x]
Cloak (+6) + boots (+4)= coumpound [5x10]
arrows [8x1] = 8+1 = 9 = compound [5x10] (9)
makes sense to me
