How to deal with canageblender referral abuse/spam (in Public Record)

Some carnageblender member is spamming our forums with referral requests. Any way of shutting him down? Is there an canageblender admin I can contact?

Yeesh, you can look up his user id based on the referral link. Contact him and suggest he stop. Then banning him from your forums would be the logical thing to do.

I am no admin, but I am curious. You did not give hardly any information. Since I don't see any problems with the forums here, I take it you are referring to someone spamming another site? Or perhaps the admins already fixed it if it was here, IDK. Forget this post then.

But if it is someone spamming on another site, why not talk to their administrators to solve the problem? As far as I know, referal links and begging for votes is already disallowed on CB, so as soon as it is noticed it is taken care of by those hard working admins.

Letting an admin here (I'm one) know the userid being used, and a sample of the spam would be a nice start.

Found the abuser - Nerevas, userid=145346 (isn't Google wonderful ;) and forum banned him on our forum. Also fined him $50k (almost 5x what he made from his referral spams).
