Added a Page to the Wiki (in General)

Colonel Custard [The Knighthood] May 25 2006 9:52 AM EDT

I added a page on PR weight to the Wiki, and have started linking it from a few armor pages where it says PR weight. I added the page mostly because I figured that would be the best place to make my observation about its reduction during NCB and NUB bonuses. Anyone who has any better information than me, please edit it, I tried to give my best description based on my understanding of it. Thank you.

There is no difference in how armor adds PR to NUB, NCB or normal characters. Small minions now get a relatively small PR increase from large NW items as the PR added is now worked out thus :
"A PR weight of N now means that for every plus of enchantment on the item, your PR will increase by N% of the xp on the minion equipping it.

I've taken a rough stab at updating the PR weights. Some will change further, starting with DB right after I post this."

from changelog.
This has resulted in a partial return to the pre item NW days for some items such as DB which grant their bonus at a level independent of xp in the minion allowing you to get a big return for minimal PR.

Also for weapons there is no distinction between nub, ncb, normal, there is just a PR free NW allowance based on MPR, above which weapon NW will add to PR.

If you have data to support these findings I suggest you post it as I would consider this a bug.

I removed the NCB/NUB part from that page. My 'admin' character proves that NUB/NCB has nothing to do with armor weight ;)

Ok, so maybe it just looked to me like it had so little effect on NCB characters because the ones I looked at had fairly small MPR to begin with, and therefore a 20% difference between the PR and MPR didn't seem like a lot because the increase was in the low thousands.

The wiki is editable. If you think I'm wrong about something, you can edit it. The main reason I posted this was to notify everyone that I made a separate page for it and put in what I thought I saw going on, and anyone who knew more about it could edit it.

I'm afraid I have never edited the wiki, I appreciate you are trying to be helpful. Yes anyone can edit it but this doesn't mean its desirable for you to put your half baked theories in there and then expect others to sort it out. The forum is the place for that not the wiki which new players need to be as accurate as possible in order to understand this fairly complex game.
