poker (in Off-topic)

i think there should be a poker tournament for CB$ cash prizes. it would be pretty sweet. its just a idea. i love poker.

id like to play as long as it was poker i knew, and we made a PR bet about it that way i dont get cheated agian.

I would play. We had a poker tourney on CB1, but it was tough finding an online poker game that allowed for private tables.

why not just all play some online tourney on a free site and go by who places where? You won't get to play against each other possibly, but you'll get a gauge of who sits where in the totem.

By "poker" I'm guessing you mean texas hold em? I'd say best way it would work is someone collects all the entry fees for a given game and either winner takes all or a 60/30/10 split or something along those lines. Would still need to find a workable site to do it at though.

I should have, but I didn't realize there was this much interest in poker there was in CB...
I'm not sure how we could set this up, what site we could use for the seats or anything... if anyone has any ideas about where we could set up a tourney, but I'd definitely be down with helping set it up and get some more interest in the game going.

Two questions...

1. What would the "in" be? I'd be willing to go as high as 500k to get some serious prize money going... A two table tourney (20 people) would equal 10m in prize money! Of course, if this is too high an amount, I'd still be happy just to play and get to know some of you all better.

2. Does any actually know where we could set up a game like this?

We have used pokerroom.com in the past. I'd be interested in a 150k buyin game.

How did you use PokerRoom.Com to set up a tourney? I didn't know they had such an option. Would we have to wager real money in order for them to have a table for us, or is there an option to do something with play money?

What happened to all the interest on this topic? You got me all excited. I'm still very interested in a game, don't care how many people we get, but the more the merrier... I'd be willing to play any stakes 100k - 500k in a tourney, so if anyone else is interested, just post here or CM me... Actually... I still need to find out how you set up a private tourney on PokerRoom.com if anyone has any details, please post here or CM me again... Thanks.

Also, was thinking... if everyone could get together 10k play chips, we could just set up a private table and play until one person had all the chips (No rebuying into the table would effectively make it a tourney, no?)
