Star Wars Lego (in Off-topic)

Ah I'm back from my hols now, a relaxing week of driving, driving and more driving around the Highlands of Scotland.

The last car in the UK with a tape deck and not a cd player, so no tunes. Food poisoning. Narrow roads halfway up mountains on the Isle of Skye with only tiny space to pass vehicles coming the other way, while dodging the sheep that have freedom to roam everywhere.

And did I mention food poisoning? Food poisoning that saw me laid up at Jo's Uncle's place in Scotland. Babysitting the kids while Jo and her Uncle and Aunt went out and about.

Playing Star Wars Lego on the PS2 with Jo's ten year old cousin. Maybe it was the sickness. Maybe it was the cute likenesses of Anakin and Obi Wan. Or the Purple Lightsabres. Or General Grievious. But I had the most enjoyable gaming experience I've had for years!

And come September Lego Star Wars 2 - the original trilogy!!! Lego Luke, Han and the Millenium Falcon.

(And released on the same day as the DVDs of the original versions of the films.....Han shooting first....on DVD.......)

I think I maybe a little delirious still......

Welcome back! We've missed you terribly! :)

QBJohnnywas May 31 2006 5:13 AM EDT

Thank you my dear ;)

:( I thought you meant actual lego... I've got a lego x-wing! :D

wb!

QBJohnnywas May 31 2006 6:12 AM EDT

No, PS2 game! Go look up Lucasfilm's site for the trailer for the next game - it's pretty funny!

The food poisoning meant that I couldn't go and search out the Beees which was a shame! But I'll be heading back to Scotland again next year for a wedding so maybe then!

AdminG Beee May 31 2006 6:26 AM EDT

Yeah, we missed you :(

I'm planning on coming down to London in about 8wks (sshh, don't tell wifey) for a golf match so perhaps we can meet up for a few lemonades and make up for what we missed.
Fri. 4th Aug looks like the golf date so we're likely to be in London proper on the Saturday.

As for food poisoning in Scotland.
All I can say is that you're a soft Sassenach... Sick

It's not personal G, but I'm not in London that weekend...it's not because you're coming to town honestly!

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] May 31 2006 7:33 AM EDT

Don't leave me alone with G Johnny! God knows where I'll wake up this time! O_O

QBJohnnywas May 31 2006 7:35 AM EDT

Ah yes. I remember a phone call.....

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] May 31 2006 7:38 AM EDT

Hopefully I won't break any more vases. >_<

But I've just checked with the missus and I'm free that weekend!

QBJohnnywas May 31 2006 8:49 AM EDT

Look out London......

QBBarzooMonkey May 31 2006 9:28 AM EDT

Allright, back on topic! :P

I've been playing Lego Star Wars on Gamecube with my own nephew lately! He's 5, and we get together for "Star Wars video games" every Sunday morning (I've got them all so far, for GameCube and/or XBox). I wasn't allowed to go home this past Sunday until we had found "Lego Darth Maul"! Apparently, he had been pestering his mom (my younger sister) all week about finding Lego Darth Maul with Uncle Monkey... :)

I have to agree with every sentiment you've expressed!

QBJohnnywas May 31 2006 9:36 AM EDT

I'm glad it's not just me!!!!

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] May 31 2006 10:06 AM EDT

Hmmm.... I might have to look out for this on gamecube pre owned. ;)

Glad your feeling better!

I heard, tho, that Lego Star Wars was actually better than any star wars game out there, =P
