Download Festival (in Off-topic)

Tonight is my last night on line until monday afternoon. I'm off to the Download Festival! :D

Leaving at the crack of dawn tomorrow, just to get a good camping spot!

A weekend of hot sun (26 degrees!), loud music (Guns and Roses? LOL!), much beer and young ladies wering next to nothing! :D

Have fun, and if it's a multi-day concert bring water if you can! trust me on this one, $5 a bottle can get expensive. other than that, go nuts!

Just been shopping for supplies. Got 40 440ml cans of fosters for £16! and all in all 21 litres of bottled water. :)

I really wanted a 5 litre wide necked bottle (don't ask!) and plan to use someof the water for cooking. :)

Pot Noodles here I come! :D

Only one slightly tipsy phone call and a dunken text received all weekend. I consider that a result !!

Oh yeah! It was great to meet Zog, We drank the 40 beers on Thursday. >_< I managed not to get sunburned, but do have a nice Tan.

G'N'R were bad. Really bad... Axle just wasn't up to it after a 14 year break. Metallica were awesome!

I thought GnR were good on the whole, most of the people in the crowd complaining about the breaks probably didn't realise that he has to have an oxygen tank backstage.
Metallica playing the whole MoP album straight through was awesome. Did you see the guys up on the supports while The Prodigy were playing?

Who would have believed that Axl actually turned up early and still played nearly a 3 hour set?

:D Was great to meet up! NP man, I was bushwacked from getting up at 5 to drive down, the heat, and beer! I passed out in my tent for a couple of hours after leaving you guys!

As for Axle, it was just obvious he was out of practice. To blame it on technical difficulties was just lame. The last hour or so really picked up though! We guessed he had an oxy tank he kept going to, but still labelled him 'Cat Strangler'! ;)

I tried to go see some of the Prodigy, but security had blocked the area off by the time I went up there!

I thought G'n'R were gonna pull a Metallica and come out an hour late, we were so surprised they came on early! MoP all the way though rocked! Their set was really good. Best I've seen in ages!
