Do TSA & MgS protect against "friendly FB" backlash? (in General)

I don't know why I just thought of that question, and I couldn't find it in the Wiki. Would TSA & MgS help prevent you from frying your own minions with a big FB on a multiple minion team?

Just wondering... :)

As far as I know, AC affects backlash, so I assume the magic-reducing specialty armor works the same way for that part... But I'm just speculating...

yes, as does the RoBF.

The TSA only protect against FB in ranged rounds (all AC shielding aside), so no, it would not protect against hitting your own minions since you only do that in melee rounds. I do believe the MgS does do this though. I could be wrong though.

That's not entirely true. The spell protection TSA gives simply halves with each round. If your TSA is pretty high say +50 it will go like this:

1st round: 50% spell reduction
2nd round: 25%
3rd round: 12.5%
4th round (melee range): 6.25%
5th round: 3.125%
6th round: 1.5625%

So in melee you get a tiny tiny amount. But not none =p

A +50 TSA has a NW of $22,740,838. I don't think there are many people out there with such a large one. I suppose I said none because I've always thought of it that way since the resistance is so negligble that it doesn't really matter...
