What paintball gun? (in Off-topic)

I'm going to start getting into paintball, so if there are any paintballers out there..... my question is, is there a certain brand name i should focus on? Do you have specific guns that are recommended? Are the gernades and mines even worth getting?? Please help me out! I don't want to waste money on paintball if I don't even get it right!! Your responses are very wanted!!

lol my sister asked me this question, and now it's bugging me. when you get shot with a paintball, does it hurt depending on how far away you are?? i heard you're supposed to wear like 3 layers of clothes to keep it from hurting.

obviously, does it hurt when you get by a ball from 1 foot away more than when you get from 30 feet away?

its the same thing, if you get hit from further back obviously it will do less damage to you.

I really like my Tippmann '98 custom. Its a great starter gun and it comes bundled in a package with a mask, tank, hopper, maybe some other stuff, for around $120-$150. You can mod it to add a velocity adjuster, a double trigger, electronic hopper, aftermarket barrels (which Id highly recommend), a drop forward, titanium hammer, etc. The gun has a reputation for being a tank and extremely reliable. In the 4+ years of my casually using it, I have yet to break a ball in it. If you do get it, Id stay away from flatline barrel they offer as an add on, I ended up getting a 14" ported aluminum barrel. I wish I could remember the brand name because I absolutely love it. Just my 2c :O)

hehe, thanks i'll look into getting something like that. But i heard about gernades and mines......... are those even worth it?? I had someone tell me he uses them every time he goes and plays. and someone else tell me that they never work.

Speak of the Devil, its Todd's son!!

Hey guys, it's Sting-Ray, decided to give CB a chance again. lol.

Get either a Tippmann 98, any Spyder(try a rodeo) or a Ion. The Ion is the most expensive of the 3 but have far better qualities.

Paintball don't hurt! lol, addreniline(sp?) covers all the pain, you will be fine. I work at a paintball field, and 12yrs kids play there all the time, they don't even think it hurts. Some of these guys are out in only T-Shirts.

Hope this helps

it hurts depending on where you get hit. like if you get railed in the back it will sting... but yea '98s are best starter guns
