CB Video (in Off-topic)

Does anyone here have a video camera or webcam or something?

Someone needs to make a CB news video every week with updates on the game, like the latest gossip or whatever. And make a video of it, post it on YouTube or one of the other sites. Kill 2 birds with one stone.. Get advertising for CB.. and 2 make us laugh. I mainly want someone to do it for number 2. Is anyone here got much of a deadpan news face that can do a serious CB news report without laughing and being dumb.. That would make it extra funny.. :)

I don't want to buy it. I want someone to make a CB news video. Something that would be funny. Come on we have freakin graphic designers and all kinds of crazy programmers here, we must have one or two video people who want to make something.

You know, I could hack together something, and I can manage a heck of Kent Brockman voice...a face for radio though I'm afraid. Maybe CB News needs a masked anchor "Paper bag man here again with a flash update". Ahh but then I'd be stepping on JW's alter ego.

Perhaps the two of you could report from opposite sides of the pond. Just remember to make sure your grammar is perfect though. Otherwise 'you know who' will have something to say about it....

I can do short vids with my digital camera. I'll have to see if I can set it up in a way to make it work... What kind of commentary or visuals do we want here?

I have consistent access to a Canon XL1 and can do a pretty good deadpan. I also like to fancy myself a funny person, although I could just as easily be wrong. I'm funny to me, so I guess that's all that counts. But when it all boils down to it, I have the chance to shoot actual shorts I can enter into film festivals. I'm not going to do CB News when I've got that chance, even though I think it'd be fun. So there is at least one person amidst all the graphic artists with the werewithal to pull of such a program, but I just don't have the time.

The missus has a webcam... But having an equity card, I'd have to charge you all for my appearancies! ;)

Who was mentioning that Skype is going to support video? If it's more than one on one, time to install Skype and bust out the Web Cams, Video Cameras, etc? ;)

Maybe you could look for something popping up in the forums around Halloween relating to CB and pirates though... We'll see what happens.

ads for the great buys in auctions or cb'ers can acutally pay to get adv like "pixels loans" or an ad for a FS post(and if would look like a car sales man selling cb items on a lot...lol

random people will laugh or be weirded out, but us who know will laugh hardcore if this was done decend...
