Archery and Bloodlust Comparison (in General)

Well, due to the recent changes I went home and compared the two to myself. Basically, archery seemed to give more advantages, but had alot of disadvantages. So here is what I got, (I forgot my notes so I just having to remember)

Archery Advantages: First, and best, using archery any tank can now destroy a single mage before it can do anything.
Uses rare ammo's to augment damage even farther, and with specialty arrows can target certain members of other team.
Easier to get multiple attacks with it in ranged. It can get 9 in 3 rounds where melee is (realistically) limited to 6 in 3 rounds. (I know some can hit more but I am just talking in general)
Can be augmented by armor (Beleg's)
Can be ran with DM, instead of AMF, if high enough HP because it can kill single mages before they can kill you. Hopefully.
CAN run with lower HP then BL because it supposed to win quickly.
More short term damage.

Disadvantages: Takes more experience.
Only one RARE item really works with this (limiting field of choice)
Less melee damage (compared to UC or BL)
Even more so then BL tanks, it gets slaughtered by UC (2/3 instead of 1/3 evasion... ouch)
Wearing shields while using archery is a bad idea, so ick.
Same with two handed weapons. Main melee weapons to be used are ELS, exec, VB. (BoTH not as powerful as others and 20% the small VA won't help much with a minion trying to end it early).
Can't be used with VA, because VA drain does not take place in ranged.
Won't do well against high HP teams (or four minions teams)
Must buy more arrows then BL tanks.

*If I missed anything just post what I missed. Don't rip my head off. I not a bloody smart person.

Bloodlust Advantages: A cheaper skill
More melee damage, ALOT more melee damage.
VA and it together are very effective.
Can weild a shield without such a large drawback.
Has at least a small chance against UC users.
More long term damage.
Can use weapons like Morgul Hammer and BoNE.

Bloodlust Disadvantages: Must have AMF to survive.
Must survive to melee rounds.
Requires more HP or at least Ablative Shield to do that.

Okay that's all I can remember but I know there was more. Now I ask you all to post what you think and advice.
My synapsis (sp?) is that they are both useable in the right strategies. Archery is better for quick fights, while BL users need to stick with it. For single tanks I think Archery is the way to go.
As a side note a Archery, CoC user is now possible, or decay.(I think).

So everyone let me know what you think or edit what is right or wrong.

Hard to comment when you laid it all out so well.

I am happy to archery getting some love, it's nice that Bl
isn't a constant on every tank any more.

lol Thanks Novice but I know I had to miss something.

A couple of extra points:

Archers should focus their financial spend on the bow, the bigger the better. Melee weapons are still useful but only really to mop up damage. Archers are better focussing on dex and Elven gear to raise it.

Bloodlust tanks (if the supporting strategy is right) don't need to put much emphasis on ranged. Dex heavy bloodlust tanks are good but generally the heavy tank strategy works best. Because of the increased damage bloodlust affords a BL tank can build up on the armour, sacrificing a couple of extra strikes a round for the big damage and the big damage reduction from AC which helps them go into melee. BL tanks should focus all their main financial spend on their melee weapon.

Otherwise though a very detailed well thought out comparison.

OKay, thanks Johnny. I wasn't thinking financial comparison but yeah, that is very helpful =D
