Axbow or Elbow? (in General)

Please, look at my strat and tell me which would be more effective. I have all of my WA to use up, so I think that the Elbow would be better, as it will do a lot more damage, but, for my dex based UC tank, the axbow really does slow down the opposing tanks. I think it's an option of, would I rather try to finish the fight early in 4 rounds or so, or use the axbow and wait until melee to try to finish off the opposing tank.

My own personal preference for UC tank ranged is the ELB, or the compound if you can't get hold of one.

To be honest with you I think the Axbow is a bit of a waste coupled with UC. The UC tank is already much much faster than most normal tanks, so you don't need to slow them down anymore. What you need is damage. A large bow gives you a fighting chance against mage teams and helps you take out tank teams more quickly.

As I said this is my own personal preference, but it is based on what worked best for me when I was UC guy! :)

you need to have a large enough Axbow for it actually to do anything.

i have an exbow and an elbow, my exbow is [4x36] (+30)

my elbow is [6x50] (+20)

and i can tell you now my elbow can defeat 2 opponents my exbow can't its simple, now it got changed you need to have a big exbow to get enough drain.

the elbow does more damage, more base damage too.

so if you don't have money to upgrade it enough to get drain, might as well go ELB and as JW said, UC needs ELB for killing mages and tanks alike.

I've tried both, and I agree with what those guys said - the ELB's bigger damage outweighs the AxBows drain for a UC tank, especially because chances are they are having trouble hitting you back in melee anyway... :)

My Axbow [4x400] (+65) NW$8.7m works better for my preferred fightlist than my ELB NW$5.7m [6x460] (+45).

I still beat the same folks with either wep but Mem can't fight me nearly as well when I use the Axbow :)

I didn't make my point very clear :/
What I mean is that there's still very much a place for the Axbow in CB against certain strats. So much so it's still an alternative worth considering, and you shouldn't all run out to the nearest ELB shop imo just because they're back in vogue this month.
