Any fellow cbers picked up the new game Chromehounds for the 360? And possibly played it on xbox live?

I looked at it in the rental store and it looked like a generic FPS without a huge amount of diversity.
I am interested in trying out Black on the PS2 to find out exactly how "realistic" the weaponry actually is (apparently they sound perfect on a high volume, the graphics are as close as and the fact that you can bring certain scenery crashing down with a couple of rounds).

umm, its not an FPS and it has the greatest amount of customization i have ever seen

I'll make my buddy with the 360 get it.

I correct myself, it looked like a generic mech game which all have many different combinations of equipment to build your mech with but none really have anything more in-depth than aiming to go around crushing enemies.

but then what rpg/fps/rts isnt about going around and crushing enemies? it actually seems very squad-tactics based and the online part of it is a 3-part war which you become part of.

I like to play games like RPG, strategy, and RTS/TBS that have a reasonable/believable storyline to them.
C&C:RA 1 and 2 uses wars between real countries, Civilization is about building your own civilizations, most RPG's such as Diablo and FF have a story to them which is followed pretty much throughout, Strategies such as Syberia and Still-Life have in-depth storylines which can be followed.
Although C&C and Civ are nearly to the point at why I don't buy games like Chromehounds and such due to mainly being about pummeling an opponent into submission at least they have a little more substance than purely "You're in a war, win it".

yea, chromehounds isnt great in the single player / story line aspect, but its pretty good on the multiplayer part, which is easily seen as where they focused the game

I still prefer a multiplayer game with something more to do, I got bored of the multiplayer on both Halo games and Red Faction (which I much prefer to Halo) within 30 minutes of playing, SOCOM was pretty cool but only lasted a couple of weeks.

just got off work all reviews i got said it isnt worth it.

QBPit Spawn [Abyssal Specters] July 15 2006 4:51 PM EDT

i got it, i think its awesome, worth it if you have xbox live, but the single player isnt that great, but then its a game obviously designed for multi-player so im not surprised

SuiteStuff [C and S Forgery Lmtd.] July 16 2006 5:00 AM EDT

thats what my co workers where saying...single palyer stinks...live they think is good...but as its one the first Xbox 360 games out they say to wait for price to drop and in case a better game comes out...ummm...maybe halo 3???
