Disk Burner is built into OS X... just insert a blank DVD and follow the instructions.

Disk Utility works fine for me, and you can burn MP3s right out of iTunes. Just make a playlist, highlight it, and click "Burn". Make sure your Preferences are set to the right type of CD you want to burn, Data (MP3) or Audio CD. (I hat ethat they bury the setting there... I can't remember how many times I've create an MP3 CD-R with only 13 songs because I thought it was burning an audio CD. Arg.)

I recommend burning the iMac itself :D

Don't mind me: I've had bad experiences with the first iMacs that came out. They're oversimplified yet overcomplicated devices...
