Anybody know of any good alt. rock bands that are the "off the radar" type bands? I am kind of bored with my albums so I am looking for some new music.

Check out The Legendary Pink Dots: a Dutch group who've been around since the 70's and who's music has been different on each album. Not always "rock", but definitely "alternative" ;)
And one of my favorite "rock" artists is Tom Waits, though again, he's not always "rock", but he's pretty strange.
I'm going to see Tom Waits in August up in Akron, Ohio in mid-August. :-)

XFM.co.uk
XFM is a UK radio station but you can tune in online. They play a lot of good stuff. During the day it's the poppier end of alternative. In the evening they go a bit more left field. The website has reviews of albums, singles, live bands etc. It should give you a few things to check out at least.
You might also try www.woxy.com if you want an internet radio station that plays quite a few "off the radar" types.
