Items and their NW's (in General)

I was thinking ...

Items and their networths, should be adjusted to the market rate in which that items goes for.

For example, the NW of a Corn, isn't all that high, and is a GREAT item that sells for a high price. Then, you have items such as Katana's, where they get no where near their NW in selling price.

The items NW's don't reflect their abilites, and I think that they should be adjusted accordingly. Due to MPR penalties.

Anyone have any insight on this?

NW has a specific meaning that is useful even though it is not the same as market price

It makes more sense then current system. I always wished the NW reflected the actual value and selling/ buying price of that item. Downside is ALOT of in game characteristics would have to be moved around. My guess would be PR/MPR/NW ratios and that kind of thing.

Why is it necessary to revamp the entire NW system? It is obviously the way it is for a reason; Besides, you would have to change the NWs every time a new item came out, or if the market was flooded with a particular item at a certain point...it'd be just too much work.

You know how much an item is worth; And if you don't, check previous auctions or ask. It's a simple set-up.

Just my 2 cents.

Read the auctions and such.
NW is an indication of how much has been invested into the upgrades on an item which then allows the market value of a certain item at different levels of upgrade to be determined.
This is a hugely useful thing to keep the way it is especially for forgers and their clients regarding big jobs that go past the standard 7 upgrades the BS gives.
Your idea would create a rather poor and highly inaccurate system which would create far too much server strain if it can even be done, we can already find market value from recent finished auctions.

if this were implimented it would be necessary to just create a new category like Market Value. Otherwise the blacksmith and forgers would be very out of wack and in deep trouble. I think it is fine how it is.

Only reason to change would be to prevent confusion of new people... But w/e
