100k MPR (in Off-topic)

I just hit 100k MPR with my character Master Splinter. Yes, I know, 2 months is a long time to hit 100k MPR on an NCB character, but I was almost completely unable to log on at all for at least 3 weeks, and have only been on sporadically since. I'm still proud of myself. As I am at a milestone, I'm considering whether or not to add a minion to my team. I got the idea from this thread: http://www.carnageblender.com/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg.tcl?msg_id=001r7M

I could add a minion that trains chiefly AS, and maybe untrain AMF on my Tank and put on my new Enchanter. That way, my ToA can give me ST and DX, my AS can give me HP, and I could focus all the Exp my tank gets on upping it's UC (and VA, to a lesser extent). I would like strategy advice from anyone willing to offer it, since my team is rather different than the one being discussed in that thread. Thanks in advance!

I've run two single minion UC guys now and higher up the thing that I wanted most was a second minion but I couldn't afford it!

Add the second minion. Do like you say, huge AS, and the AMF onto the enchanter. Put him at the back and put a PL there. The combo of the AS, PL and VA should give your tank plenty of time to do what he has to do.

UC works really well if you put a lot of xp into it, and I mean a lot. At one point I had a UC of over 1.5 million in level which gave me a weapon of about (88). Add Helms and Elven Boots to the char and that jumped to about (104) which was enough to evade almost every tank in the game except maybe Ranger's char.

I'd also consider adding a ranged attack, but make it a bow, not a xbow. Compound or and ELB if you can. It helps you against mage teams, even the bigger FB mages if your bow is strong enough.

Get the second guy - you won't regret it!

Oh, and the reason for the bow over the xbow? A lot of people do use axbow or exbow with UC. But ou don't need to weaken tank teams, you just dodge them. You need damage to take down UC's nemesis, the mage team. Get the AMF to about 300k or so and then you can afford to leave it for a while. Then push your xp into the AS and the UC.

being able to maximize training UC seems to be the biggest part of running a ToA UC setup, so it's a toss up between being able to really maximize what you need (UC) verses the things you might want (enough HP to deal with mages, and some AMF to take the sting out of decay).

I'd wait and train UC for a while, just to get as much XP frittered away as you can before hiring on other minions. At some point however your need for HP will require another minion, and AMF/AS would the obvious choice there.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I opted to go with the new minion, and it's already showing that it helped a little, even though my AS, AMF, and PL are all only at like 4k level. This seems like within a couple days my character should be much, much better.
