Random rules question - items w/ stat bonuses (in General)

Something that isn't entirely specified which has been bothering me - a lot of armor items give bonuses based on their enhancement modifier. For example, HoE adds strength. Do those bonuses also grant additional AC? DB's explicitly state that their bonuses do not contribute to AC, for for HoE and other such items it doesn't actually say.

any item that doesn't specifically state that it's enchantment level does not apply to AC should add to total AC.

EC, EB, EG, TG, HoE, and BoM all add to total AC.
