Major Troubleshooting Assistance (in General)

This is extremely strange. I have been attempting to log onto CB for a while now. I possess two computers, one desktop running on Microsoft Windows XP Home and one laptop running on Windows 98. Respective processor speeds for the first and last are 2.6 GHz versus 700 MHz, respective RAM is about 1GB to 384 MB, both possess a routed DSL service connection from Bell south. When I attempt to log onto Carnage Blender from the laptop, things generally work fine. When I attempt to use my faster and more convenient desktop, whenever I finish the tutorial section of creating a new character, something goes hay wire and Firefox shuts down on me. This has recurred when I attempted using Internet Explorer as well as using Firefox on another user and again occured when I tried creating a new account and attempting to play past the tutorial.

I have two theories about this:

1. Chat is opened after the Tutorial finishes. Is there any code in the Chat devices that would result in a terminal error on my browsers?

2. Is there something wrong with my internet settings that I should be aware of? I don't think I've changed them in a while and they work fine on almost every other site.

Your consideration is greatly appreciated.

I thought you are only allowed 1 account on this game?

*Sigh* Isn't this just a little besides the point? It's not as if I was using the account for abusive purposes - I intended to delete either it or my old account if one or the other started working. However, as I can't access my home or characters page, I'm having trouble navigating through the CB site as it is without triggering a random terminal error.

Please, can anyone help me with the problem I posted?

You could always disable chat under "settings", then finish the tutorial. See if that does it.

Thanks for the reply!

Yep, looks like your quick fix worked, Revelator. Too bad I won't be able to chat...ah well, a small price to pay.

maybe it is the version of java you have installed. try updating and going back into chat

As per suggestions from others above it's most likely to be a Java problem on your main PC.

Meanwhile I've deleted your multi accounts. Heaven and 18764. No problems...
