CB Daily Quiz! (in Off-topic)
Inspired by something Claire and her pregnant lady friends have set up, I bring you the CB Daily Quiz! Something to do when you've spent your BA, or waiting for Central Bank to bid on the auction you're after, so as not to lose out!
"GL has set up a trivia challenge on FunTrivia.com for friends and
family. You are being invited to join!
To play in GL's trivia challenge, simply go to
http://my.funtrivia.com/tournament/CB-Daily-Quiz-59178.html
New questions will appear each day (And the questions will be different for each player), and everyone can compare scores at the link
above throughout the day. Try to answer questions quickly, because the quizzes are timed. The best cumulative scores at the end of the month go into the hall
of fame."
:D
4 of us have played so far, how did you all find it?

I cut and pasted your link and there it was....boom boom!
That wasn't bad. Not too easy, but not too hard. Just right said Goldilocks and ate it all up.
Easier than the local pub quiz though. But they do have ice cold Becks on tap...tough call
(As you can see it is Friday, and the JW brain is frazzled. Ah the weekend.....)
The topic can be manually changed, as can the difficulty. It's on intermediate atm.

I think it's probably about right. Some of those questions were verging on the obscure but some were very obvious. You don't want it too difficult so that people can't get any right at all...
exactly the same as GL and JW but pop-ups slowed me down >.<
Fun! Though the timing part is difficult, I couldn't make it scroll as fast as I'd like on my slower PC. ;)

Got an apple for teacher?
The questions seem somewhat skewed to the knowledge base of Americans. (such as it is) So I imagine you'll find those scores naturally a bit higher.

That's why I got some wrong then....
:D
I didn't get any pop ups? I'll have a word with Claire about that.
We all get different sets of questions, so no use logging on with one name then logging on as your main... ;)

No pop ups at this end either...
My Norton was being funny with me so I booted it off the computer and have been getting regular pop-ups because I forgot to switch the IE pop-up blocker on :P
Yeah, it's an American site, so questions are American based...
But you can suggest manual themes and Topics.
Arnie movies anyone? >;)
But, if we change the quiz topic, we'll have to make sure we agree on a cut off time. :)

I didn't realize the time factored into the score... I suppose I should have put my contacts in before doing this.
And how the heck did I guess who the male lover was in The Princess Diaries 3?!
Todays quiz has started, you can view yesterdays score from the 'standings' option top left.
"Bast was yesterday's smartest player!"

I did today's on a Mouse with No Wheel. :(

"Questions are American based."
I got one question that would be American based today, and that was based on the 2003 movie Freaky Friday (and no, I didn't answer it right =P). I'd say so far I've seen a much more British base to these questions so far, but that's just my observation :)
The Peruvian Inca Orchid? Good grief.
Play more Daily Quiz!
It's even better than sliced bread.
lagging PC = horid time .. but fun all in all :)

You gotta love when the click doesn't take. Like I seriously wouldn't know what beer calls itself the "King of Beers"? What a gyp.
