I can't put the rest. But it sure is funny... And a wee bit ironic that BM would think this a positive song about pets...
I never implied that it was a positive song about pets, but it is funny. And it was on the radio at the time I posted, and thus gave me the idea for yesterday's series of contests. There's no irony in that.

You sure did imply a positive connotation to it! It was for your dog's 4th birthday! How is that not positive? Unless you don't like your dog, in which case you would have had to state that in order to remove the positive connotation. So it is irony, albeit unintended irony!
It's ironic if you're reading way to deep into it. "Name That Tune - Animal Songs Edition" does not say "Positive, happy songs about pets" edition.
I'm already having a really bad week. Do you really want to keep calling me out like this? Because I'm more than ready to dance if you do...

Whoa, whoa, whoa! I'm not calling anyone out here. I didn't even say it was a bad thing to have a hint of irony in the contest. I actually think it adds to the hilarity of the song. And I know these are just animal based songs, but the reason you thought of such a contest was because of your own pet's birthday. Just the fact that you chose this song, whether or not it was playing on the radio at the time, makes me smile. Especially since you thought it up because of your pet's birthday.
"Kitty's gonna spend the night... Outside!"
I certainly did not intend to offend you, BM. Forgive me if that was the way it came across. And keep up the awesome contests! (Maybe next time someone will actually give me a chance to answer...)
