Madden 07 dissapointing? (in Off-topic)

hmm...i went to the store the other day and bought madden 07. i personally dont think its that good. i mean its good and everything but personally i think madden 06 was better. they changed superstar mode around a ton. for some reason i cant do a fantasy draft for season or franchise mode. i dont kno. i just liked madden 06 better but 07 is still ok.

I have Madden 07 reloaded for the computer and I was able to do a fantasy draft for the franchise, dunno if maybe its only for the PC or not.

I'm an every-other-year buyer for Madden, so I didn't play 2006. I'm due to get it this year, so I rented it first this weekend.

So far, I like *almost* everything about '07 (compared to '05 and '03).

I do miss the cameo videos at game startup, but I don't know if that was gone in 2006, or even if it's a platform difference (I'm on xbox now, compared to PS2 before). I also wish Madden and Michaels did commentary in superstar mode--it seems pretty silly not to be able to have that.

The only really disappointing things are how many exploits there are. I don't play online, so I don't know if they apply, but in superstar or franchise mode, there are a lot of ways to beat the system (that don't involve cranking down the play level or nerfing the CPU abilities). Plus there are a couple of camera-related bugs I've seen so far--just irritating stuff.

I absolutely loved 2006. I haven't played 07 but if the major improvement is supposed to be the ability to block and nothing else, I can't see myself liking it more.

1.dyno where did u go to pick fantasy draft? for the 360 i pick franchise then choose my team and bam it starts already.

3. Superstar mode in 06 was better i think cause u actually had a apartment u lived in then has u got better u lived in better places to ultimaly a mansion.
4. I dont like how in superstar mode depending on what position you play u get a weird camera angle to play in. 06 it was a normal camera.
5. Well i just got a 360 so i got a month free of gold so i decided to go online and play. WOW...never doing that again. everyone i played picked the falcons. I would rush vick and about to get a sack and then vick will take off all the way left or right side and i cant catch him so he gets a first down or even touchdown. everytime i would try to get him that happened or even if i played coverage and no blitz he did that. Then also once they scored they would do 2 point conversation and do qb sneak and he scored everytime. this happened with everyone i faced. Im 1-8. So after that i decided to be the falcons vs someone who didnt pick them. guess wat.....i won. its like no one can stop vick from running for a huge can. i got the 2 point conversation every time to.

Don't know... might be that way in '07 PS2. I've haven't completed a season yet (Redskins' 5th-round draft pick, beat out Campbell to make the backup slot, and currently and hoping Brunell gets pasted soon... err, in the game, not in real life!).

Again, I didn't play 2006, but I actually like the camera angle for superstar mode. If you're not going to let me change players, then give me a useable camera angle. In non-superstar mode, it's practically impossble to play a CB consistently because half the time you're covering someone offscreen.

The only problem is that, as backup QB, I hold for field goals... which means if the CPU decides that John Hall is going to miss a 29-yarder (like it did last night), well, there's nothing I can do about it except throw a tantrum.

I like 07 better than 05 and 06.
I like the following
1) defense you can commit to the play being a run or a pass
2) you don't have to use the QB vision
3) added more defensive sets
4) hit stick seems more responsive
5) added the ability to put your head down and run over a defender

I could care less about the main change of being able to control a single player.
I'm disappointed that they didn't really change blocking as much as I hoped there are still several problems.
They got rid of a couple of my favorite defensive plays.

I like the superstar mode, with the exception that the computer calls plays for offense very poorly.

All in all I'd say I like it, but it isn't anything ground breaking. It still feels like you're paying for updated rosters.

I like it on the 360. I didn't play '06 because it was a watered down version on the 360. I did play it on xbox and I didn't like the vision thingie, and never really played superstar mode. I like playing with the Bengals. Palmer to Henry is wicked good.

those with the 360 version do u kno how to do a fantasy draft for franchise/season?

i don't like the madden games i personally like the generic ones like nfl 2k5, maybe it's jsut because thats the 1 i started playing first and i'm used to it...

i use to play those game when i had a PS2 but now that i have a xbox 360 im not sure if they make NFL 2k7 for the 360 so i went ahead and bought madden 07.

OMG this is making me mad. I love doing fantasy drafts for season/franchise mode but i cant seem to figure out how to do it.
