Nub and buying character question (in General)

If i were to buy a bigger character would i still be able to use my nub bonus on it?
I started a second team about a month into this game and im now thinking im not going to get a similar score to what i would have if i had kept the first team going which in the long run is going to cost me big time as im already 500k lower down than others who started and kept there same team
Ive asked two people and had a quick search but couldnt see a post about this. Niether were totally sure but thought i propably would lose it.
Can anyone confirm this for certain?
Next question ... am i better to face up to it now, for go my nub knowing i will give up this team as soon as it ends to buy a bigger team and live with no nub if the above answer is yes i would lose it

You lose it on the bigger character, but you keep it on your others. If you want a bigger team, keep fighting and making money on your current NUB and buy the bigger team when it ends.

Some nice person could update the wiki with that information as it comes up often :)
