Chapter 11
Red woke up and looked around, he was beginning to get annoyed with blacking out all the time. He was in a small hut it seemed, lying down on a bed made from reeds.
"Ahh, you are awake!", proclaimed a familiar voice, "I was beginning to worry about your state."
"Wha... Pixel! What happened!? Where's Desy?"
"Calm down, I will tell you everything.", said Pixel, "You see, My people from the fields of Jigorokano were killed by Jonathan and his mighty army, I was the Cheiften of the feilds, and when Jonathan came to me, after my people were dead, he made me a deal, I find you, and lead you to Shade so he could capture you. I said I would do it, for I did not wish to die, not at that time. So he sent me off to you, and that is when I met you in the woods. When we got to Shade, he was "Dennis" from that bar we went to, remember?"
"Yes. Why did you-"
"Listen, I wasn't thinking straight before, I am now though, and I want to help you fight Jonathan."
"Where is Desy?"
"She would still be with Jonathan, I overheard people talking in his building about how he wanted the princess of Elmoth as his queen of all the land for when this war is over."
"We must stop him!"
"We will Red, we will, but first we need to gain more allies, to aid us in this battle. We need to amas troops and bring everyone who opposes Jonathan together for a final battle!"
"Well what are we waiting here for?! Let's go!"
Desy was struggling against Jonathans grip, but he was much too strong for her.
"My, my, you are a fiesty one aren't you?", said Jonathan, "I think we need to get ourselves a little more in order, don't you Krasko?"
"Yes, I will go get her something now.. hehe."
"Come my love,", whispered Jonathan, "Let us sit down together and drink a toast."
"Here you go master Jonathan.", said Krasko as he handed a small goblet to Jonathan.
"Here, drink this my darling Desy, and we shall love eachother forever."
Jonathan held the golden goblet up to Desy's mouth, she looked at it with fear striken eyes. She had once heard of a potion that could seal a womens heart to a man's, and she could become forever his, but it was only a myth, a childrens fairy tale, there was no way Jonathan, although he was very powerful, could have obtained such a potion. Jonathan proved too strong for Desy and he forced open her mouth, and down went the mysterious liquid, down her throat.
"There, now how do we feel my love?", asked Jonathan.
"I feel wonderful dear, is there anything I can get for you?", asked Desy.
"Accually, if you could--", Jonathan was cut off as his servant Krasko came over and whispered in his ear.
"uh... Master... the prisoner has... well.. escaped.. and two of our guards appear to be dead."
With this news, Jonathan jumped up and cried out for his general, Draco.
"Y...yes M'lord?", asked Draco when he came to the chambers.
"Draco, I want you to send scouts out and search everywhere untill you find the boy that escaped from here! I don't care if you need the whole damn army! FIND HIM!
"Y...yes Master, right away."
With that, Draco hurried off to do his lords deeds.
Jonathan sat back down beside his queen Desy, and looked down at her as she cuddled her head on his chest. He smiled to himself as he thought of how good this war is going for him, and soon enough, all of Ecthelion shall belong to him.
