Is there a bug in the auction display? (in General)

I just bid on a set of slayer bolts in the auctions, and when I went back to the auctions (not using the back arrow, of course) I saw that they still had the same price displayed. What gives? I thought that they always displayed the bid that you would need to make to bid on the item. When was that changed?

it silently changed to eBay-style (min bid, or latest bid) recently.
