Only 1 in 9?

I laughed when i saw this: "and that those who play frequently can boast a number of advantages over the non-gaming population. Those benefits include increased reaction times and better hand-eye coordination."

a lot more disadvantages, imo :P

though, this is interesting and never really thought about.

"that games had many other useful applications, including acting as 'distracter tasks' for those in chemotherapy, physiotherapy, and other painful treatment courses, and as a tool for people learning to drive and those in the military."

Are You Addicted?

"...neglect of other activities..."

Oh yes, I can relate to that. First Tibia and then Risk Your Life, both grabbed me and I was definitely giving way too much of my time to them. Thank goodness for a major PC crash that broke my addiction :)

Gotta thank Jon for developing a game (and not by accident) that doesn't take over your life 24/7. The ability to walk away for large chunks of the evening are what keeps me with CB. Sundays are a bonus too.

Well you can teach an old dog new tricks!

'neglect of other activities' G? Does that mean that you actually get work done during the day when you're here? On a day when Jon makes a big change I'm not sure I get much else done than CB.....

I never miss a beat on the day Jon posts changes. In fact, I deliberately stay away from those threads until guys like you, GL, NS, Nov, Sut, Ranger, etc... have beaten the new strats to death. Then I'll pick up the bones that's left and not bother making any changes anyway... :)
