fixed the bug, reversed the free money grants.

a few people spent the money already and ended up with negative $millions. the characters are

Erschofer
Tybleo
Jiraiya
OpVines

These characters have one day to bring their cash into the positive. (Arrange a loan, sell something, I don't care.) Otherwise I will solve the problem by auctioning stuff off for them until cash gets back to positive.

im Erschofer, i wanna pay it back and all but not sure if one day is nuff time.I applied for a loan and am trying too buy threw paypal but it dont seem like any1 is jumpin at the offer. So if i could get mabey a day or 2 please. I didnt try too scamm anything i just counted on there being a rollback, which was where i went wrong in biddin on an auction.Again i know i have too get in the positive with my money, but seeing how i cant fight and have too wait on a loan approval ,or a person selling for paypal, id like too just ask for more time. that was dumb. there have only been two "real" rollbacks in CB's history. this wasn't nearly bad enough to warrant a complete restore from backup.

The general consensus that there was going to be a rollback. Only a few people didn't think it was likely. Chuck was under the impression that there was going to be a rollback. But he sold his tattoo and he can't play anymore. I mean, just about EVERYONE in the chat were talking about the rollback like it was definitely going to happen.

A rollback would have made sense if the damage done by the auction error was unrepairable. The fact that each and every auction payback is logged in the transfer log should have been an indication that the damage would be repairable (the only guess would be how much pain it caused Jon to track it all and undo it)...

What's sad about this ordeal is the fact that there's a 1.7m level named tattoo in the store selling for 20% of it's NW, and anyone following the tattoo market knows that that's way too much...........

Depends on how negative they are. If I had done it (and didn't have another character with $170m available), I'd have been $3.5m in debt. That's quite a bit more than "a few battles".

you only need to make a couple K to post a WTB

NS, switch to a different character that isn't in the negative, only the main character will be, the one you used to bid on.

if you have a farm, chances are, you'll already have 2k, anyway.

ok, wait. i'm confused. So I got this message that I had been outbid on something I bid on back on Oct 30. Apparently, today Chairman outbid me, so 630k came back to me. But then the Chairman bid dissappeared, and so did my 630k. Poof. But there's no AoF. I remember bidding on a AoF then, but did I forget about it? Or is it all not real and I never bid in the first place even though I've been looking for another AoF? Lol, how do I find out? And what ever happened to that AoF then? (I know, I really have to keep better track of these things.)

CB placed bogus bid on some auctions that were already closed, the actual auction outcome was unaffected. no items were actually transferred as a result of this.

Can someone explained what happened here?
