Best Portable Organizer (in Off-topic)

I was looking into getting one for my dad. He had a really cool one previously, but it got lost when I was visiting Chicago. (It has his phone number and "reward offered" written on it and nobody has contacted him about it yet, so it must be lost for good.)

So I was looking to see if there were any better options for organizers out there besides the "Sharp Wizard" that he had previously. My dad likes the QWERTY keyboard thing, so none of those organizers with JUST a stylus and a small space to write in. I'm looking for something reasonably priced, so no $1000 laptops or tablet PCs.

I was looking online and it is hard to find any alternatives to the good old Sharp Wizard that he had before. Here is the only other thing I found that looked pretty cool.

Can we get more stats? I mean, are we talking a pocket PC that he needs, or just a 9.99 Sharp organizer (the one with a keypad)? How much memory does he need? How much functionality? Would a smartphone do the trick?

I'd recommend a Psion product hands-down (especially with the keyboard preference), but they don't make stuff any more. *frown*

PocketPC sure. Not a 9.99 sharp thingy. He needs a good amount of memory (hopefully it has a camera or voice recorder, I know he would like that) Wi-fi is cool, but not necessary, as long as there is some PC connection it would be cool.

I want something decent that is good enough that he would use it. He likes to keep a lot of miscellaneous data, numbers and general info around with him. It's a shame he lost his old organizer as it had a wealth of info.

So, Palm? PocketPC? One of those Zaurus thingies? A lot of things have the specs, but it is hard to know exactly what he will like... Something close to what he had before? If a Sharp Wizard worked before, it wouldn't take much of a PocketPC to handle his needs...

Cingular 8525 is a nice little smart-phone, Windows Mobile, slide-out keyboard, and it's a phone. I think it is the one Ranger uses to play CB a lot, so you might want to talk to him... I have had my eye on it, since I would probably use the data and organizer more than the actual phone, but I do use Cingular... If the price comes down, a smart-phone such as that will likely replace my Razr.

Ranger spoke of the 8125 before, the 8525's predecessor. The 8525 is getting decent reviews (the plans are so fracking confusing, I can't tell what would be good and what wouldn't) so far, but is still very expensive. Some reviewers on Amazon give it 5 stars just on the PDA capabilities alone, and the keyboard appears to be ample. Kind of skimpy on the built-in memory, though...
