# Wiki: weapon allowance (in General)

## Brakke Bres[Ow man]December 22 2006 7:50 AM EST

Well I just had an idea for wiki.

Seeing there is no page explaining weapon allowance or the connection between exp and weapon allowance expressed in Networth.

So do we need one? And if so please post your TOTAL exp and the max weapon allowance here. Or perhaps the ratio between exp and weapon allowance if its linear?
Please note that you need verifex's script for seeing the weapon allowance.

Why should we create one?
For the new players that don't know why there PR raises if they rent and equip a 100 mil networth weapon. And for the peeps that dont use verifex's script or use a different browser then firefox.

stupid me, i didnt looked beyond me nose and didnt see some of it is explained under Wiki:weapons.
But if i couldnt find it who says a new player will?

However this is wrong: "The Weapon NW Allowance is about 2/3 of all the XP your Character has trained."
Because my character has this
Total XP:16,393,848 Weapon Allowance:27,787,572

And the weapon allowance is clearly not 2/3 of the total exp trained.

Henk, there's a couple of links on the weapon allowance page to some threads created by Roy7 about weapon allowance. Check those out - it would seem his way of working it out is more accurate.

So far, up to 9 million XP trained (~285k MPR) the relationship between WA and XP is a linear one with the following equation:

WA = 1.695*Trained XP - 0.5276 with R^2=1

In terms of you case Henk:
1.695*16,393,848 - 0.5276 = 27,787,571.8

which when rounded up, is exactly exactly equal to your WA. Thus, this equation seems to be accurate at up to 16 million XP trained, and I have no reason to suspect that it will ever change even at higher levels.

So enjoy the fruits of my hard labour!

I updated the wiki to reflect this data. If anyone has any data that contradicts this relationship, please let me know so I can look into it.

If you use firefox and Verifex's script, you can see your weapon nw allocation in the training page.

ROFL... I forgot that WA came from Verifex's script, so I went about tracking it when all I got was the equation that is right in his script. It's not a complete loss though as I'm tracking other stats as well including MPR, PR, Max Tattoo, etc., although those relationship are less straightforward.

Darn you and your amazing script Verifex. It is just too seamless that I don't even realize it is there anymore!

Where did Verifex get his data for the WA his script generates? Is it actually accurate?

## Kong MingDecember 22 2006 9:06 AM EST

Its probably a formula since the total experience and the weapon nw allocation are placed side by side ;)

## bartjanDecember 22 2006 9:07 AM EST

I think Verifex's formula is wrong. He uses 3/2 instead of 2/3.

## Kong MingDecember 22 2006 9:14 AM EST

But is it really 2/3 of total trained experience?

My training page states:
Total XP:322,977 Weapon Allowance:547,446

I tried equipping the following:
An Enforcer's Crossbow [4x31] (+20) nw: 553k
A Compound Bow [5x29] (+9) nw: 289k

The first exbow raised my pr by a little (397 to be exact) while the compound bow didn't raise my pr at all.

## Kong MingDecember 22 2006 9:26 AM EST

That's strange. Why doesn't my PR shoot up by a lot when I equip a 553k nw exbow when my weapon nw allocation may only be 200k?

## RelicDecember 22 2006 9:29 AM EST

I do not know what the WA formula is, but I have used Verifex's value as a MAX and if I increase my weapon total NW to his calculated value, my PR does not raise. So it is at least as high as his formula states on the training page.

## Brakke Bres[Ow man]December 22 2006 3:00 PM EST

well anyway, back to userfriendly, seeing the weapon allowance is right.

Make it into a new wiki page with those formula's added?

I reverted the wiki page. First, the official calculation of WA comes form Jon, and that is 2/3 of the total XP on your character. That cannot be removed from the wiki. Second, the threads referenced describe in detail how Roy7 came up with his regression algorithm which I have recommended on numerous occassions to Verifex to put into his script. Instead, he uses this:
