Should I drop my EC in favor of VA? (in General)

I'm just trying to improve my team and I'm not sure which I need more. I'm trying to run a WTME configuration. The Tank has BL trained to the recommended ratio. I'm thinking of playing around with my Mage which has MM and EC trained. I was thinking of dropping my EC and training VA to boost my Tank's longevity. Some experienced advice would really help.

I definitely agree with dropping EC, but I would not add a VA to your Mage. The reason is that your Mage will already have to contend with a large experience dilution, so adding another spell to your mage will only help to dilute it more. If you do in fact want VA I would put it on your Wall, where you can at least handle some exp dilution.

Other than that, I like your character setup, it will do well.

I was under the impression that Walls should only be trained with HP and possibly Evasion or PL. Won't VA pull too many points?

But your wall will have a good amount of hp from your RoS boosted AS. And evasion you don't need to train very high since it gets multiplied by a lot in ranged, which is where the wall is needed the most. So I think a decent sized VA could fit. When you get a better weapon (MH or VB are your best options) you won't need VA as much, so it is up to you whether you want to train it or not.

Sounds good. I don't see a VB or MH in my near future. Up until now I've been trying to keep my Evasion at about 1/5 of my HP. So, what ratio would work best if i started training VA? I really appreciate the feedback by the way.

VA just needs to be trained about as high as an average blow with your weapon against typical opponents
