Warhammer 40k? (in Off-topic)

Is there anyone in CB that plays the tabletop game / the PC games?

And I was thinking this thread should be in FS/WTB ;)

I wasn't asking for someone if I could buy the game from him / her. Jeez. All I was asking about is who plays it and is also a part of the grand community of CB.

I have played the PC version called Dark Crusade.

I played once, in a Games Workshop. There was nobody there at the time so the guy who worked at the place made me and my friend play a sample game of about 30 minutes...(The board game one, mind you) I must say I was impressed with the game, and man was that good customer service :)

Too bad i'm too poor to afford it, i'd probably get hooked.

I've played Warhammer 40k and Fantasy RPG, tabletop and PC
games. All my Warhammer stuff apart from games
is in Australia though, while I'm here in Canada, so me no play.
Dawn of War was good fun.

I've only gotten Dark Crusade (or DC as it's (un)officially shortened to, I think).

Hopefully I can get the latest edition of the PC game this year.

I played a game I think called Warhammer but I don't remember the 40k part... it was a table (huge green landscaped table that is) top game where you actually moved hand painted units around and rolled dice to se how they attacked and defended... It was a long time ago, but I remember it being very very fun but very very expensive and time consuming... (hand painting pieces and all that... I'm no artist :( )

All I have left of my Ultramarines is one very badly battered tank, the rest of the firgures either broke in the box from the slightest of movement or got thrown out with the box without me knowing about it.
Only good PC games were Final Liberation and Chaos Gate :)

Chaos Gate rocked! There was also a very good Eldar one. ed box.. Dawn of War maybe?

I preferred Final Liberation mostly because it was easier to get into.
Or was that easier to complete? I forget ;P

I used to play. Orks all the way. Except for the part where you need 6 gajillion of them to play, and they cost nearly as many dollars... They were much more fun for the artist in me, and I must say, I have some nice looking orks. They are so easy to mod. Much easier than most of the other armies, anyways.

I own both the first warhammmer and DC!

I play with the Eldar, my personal favorites.
