ToA Monk vs ToE Monk (in General)

I'm leaning towards a single monk strategy (nice to have an 800k mpr minion retired with everything untrained)

The question is, ToA or ToE
The ToA allows much bigger UC, HP and PTH all while having similar or better ST and DX to the alternative.

ToE, live longer, spend less on HP and live in slightly less fear of big mage teams.

Which do you feel would be more effective?

If its single, I believe ToA would be better since you can devote all experience into HP, UC and AMF. ToE would be better if you have more than one minion.

Yup. ToA for single minion, ToE for multi-minion.

Remember, ToA giving you STR and DX means you can put all that extra EXP into UC, which gives damage, PTH, and Evasion....

ToE isn't going to be enough to protect you from mages if you are a single minion. There's just no way around that. ;)

For UC, I would suggest using Gi + EC + MageShield , always better than any Tattoo :P

You can go +100 UC much faster...

Interesting idea:

UC tank training levels as you see appropriate, equipping:
Combat Gi, Ho[E/C], HG, EB, EC, and possibly a MgS (BoM/MS aren't worth penalty to UC)

Heavy AMF/VA Enchanter (4:1 ratio?), equipping:
Corn and ToE.

Maybe even adding a 3rd minion (way down the line) to cover AS, and u can switch the VA to GA to really take care of pesky FB mages, and having 2 minions behind your tank would help against MM. If ur having trouble with CoC, scrap the whole team, ur guaranteed to be screwed...

But if ur going single minion, and insist on using a tat, ToA is the way to go...

If he's going single minion, he'll have a high UC anyways. Those are great gears for evading, and makes for a great strat - it just depends on what he's trying to use his single monk for, Evasion or Offense.
