Suggestion: Personalized Mentor Greeting (in General)

As ya'll know, the Mentor system automatically sends a greeting message to each new mentoree. I was wondering if it would be possible to implement something that would allow a Mentor to type in a personalized greeting so it didn't feel so inhuman. Ya know, that way you get to know your Mentor before you talk to them. Or atleast how to expect them to talk.

That's great and all, but before going there, how about implementing a way for new mentees to actually talk? Most are so unresponsive to begin with.

When I used to be a mentor I'd usually send a follow up chatmail or PM.
When I could be bothered anyway.

I think this would be a good idea, just lets the mentor say something that's appropriate rather than the newbie getting a CM that wasn't even written by the mentor.

Then again, I'm not sure it's important but it'd still be a nice change if Jon happens to have ten minutes to add in the "Personalized Mentor Greeting" option.

And this was just brought up like a month ago like Mians link probably goes to, lol.

But yea, like chuck said, just send another CM to them after the automatic one is sent. But even if you personalize it, wouldnt it be the same for everyone there too? So its the same thing, just from Jon instead of you.

It was two months ago. And yeah, I send the followup but I would still rather have a personalized style ya know?
