DC Comics: "So Begins The End" (in Off-topic)

Well, I was browsing through DC's official website and I found one wallpaper that captured my interest in particular.



Notice all the dead superheroes on the ground, and the live superheroes look like they've lost some really big war. And notice the new Green Lantern. Any ideas what this wallpaper might be showing?

Also, I'd like to note Batman holding a sword and wearing genie-type pants.

But WHY is he dressed as an Arabian Knight? And uh, why are all those superheroes dead? And why is the Statue of Liberty's head off? And who's that new GL? And why is Superman feeling up WW?

Batman is the Dark Knight.

Looks like they're making his appearance fit that nickname. ;)

Always had a soft spot for Black Canary in the old days (back in the 70's). It was the fishnets I think.... ;)

I guess no one knows. You can tell Green Arrow is checking Black Canary out. And the woman by the new GL is Wonder Woman!? You can tell because she looks like Wonder Woman and even has a glowing lasso. Did Wonder Woman clone herself so she could be with 2 superheroes at once?

Isn't that Donna Troy next to GL? She who used to be Wondergirl back in the seventies and eighties?

It's not. The title of the wallpaper on the DC site is "DC 2007: So Begins The End", which means it'll be an upcoming event.

So, that is the Atom's hand sticking up from the ground near Black Canary.
