What if a "trusted" flag was created for users who respect deals and always repay loans?
Users like Nightstrike and Pixel Sage, for example, could be given the power to set a "trusted" flag on users they consider trustworthy.
Another way would be to only give that power to administrators. Then well known sellers/loaners could ask the administrators to set or remove the "trusted" flags on users. This would help new users find reliable loan/item providers.
What do you think?

So I earn a trusted flag for being an honest person.. then I loan 30mil from Pixel, which he gives because I'm trustworthy, and I sell the 30mil for USD and never log in again. Did the trusted flag make any difference?

I think Pixel would be smart enough not to loan $30M (Ha! Ha! Ha!), to a player he doesn't trust.
I am 100% certain that established players like Pixel and Nightstrike have been framed enough times to assign a "trusted" flag only to established players.
Also, the flag would be used more by new players than by veteran players because established players usually already know who can be trusted when selling/buying really expensive stuff.
Does this make any sense?

My guess is that it would be used about as often as the credit risk tag that admins can already use.

Can normal users see this "Credit Risk" tag? If not, would it be useful to make it public?
I looked for it quickly but I did not find it.

looking through a bunch of Monty's old posts/replies, I've found that you see that flag before you send them money or items :P And, the fact that you haven't seen it, only proves Avoid's point :P
It informs anyone xfering anything to the user of their status as "risky"

Ha! Ha! Touche!
Well, now that I know about it, I will definitely look at it.
When I am in the mist of a transaction, I always look at how long the user as been playing CB, then I look at the transactions.
If the flag had been on the user home page, I would have noticed it right away. Before confirming a transaction, I only look at the cost... shame on me.
Well, thanks for the info. This is very useful stuff.

Example of the warning given when transferring to a user flagged as a credit risk.
We don't need a "trusted" flag. Everyone by default is trusted and if they breach that trust the CB community has generally been very good at dealing with it.
