Why are fight rewards so random? I fight someone with a lower challenge bonus than another person but I get higher rewards?

It's "pseudo" random, as in, a lot of things fall into a Gaussian-curve sort od distribution... Makes things interesting.
I figure it this way: Jonathan doesn't do stuff that is much chance-based anymore, and he has never gone in for robots or "quest" style play... What he forbids on this fronts he adds to the rest of the game as statistical-distibutive "spice". *smile*
