Looking for good Rock-Metal music. (in Off-topic)
My time on CB has been severely reduced as I have started lifting for next football season with my brother (Krodel63) I was just looking for songs to listen to to make the time pass by a little bit faster. Thanks for any replies.
Megadeth. That's what I use when working out. Works for me :)

Anthrax- among the living.
Possibly one of the greatest albums ever.
Check out myspace.com/avoided
Great hardcore punk band from Milwaukee.
Soilwork is my current favorite metal band, but i can probably give you another hundred or so if you desire, just ask th00p ;)
If we're going to suggest Anthrax JC, you should just suggest the Anthrology album as it is their greatest hits :)

No one mentioned "In Flames"? I remember a post about metal a few months ago that was full of "In Flames" praise... They rock!
Rock:
Black Stone Cherry -Self Titled
Tesla - Into The Now
Theory Of A Deadman - Self Titled
Dream Theater - Metropolis Part II : Scenes From A Memory
Savatage - Poets and Madmen
Metal:
Dark Tranquillity - Haven

After Forever - Decipher
Children Of Bodom - Follow The Reaper
Theatre Of Tragedy - Velvet Darkness They Fear
If you are into guitar-based albums:
Marty Friedman - Scenes
Paul Gilbert - Burning Organ
Jason Becker - Perpetual Burn
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Best Of
Just a few to get you started...

I'll have to say these bands that have been mentioned are good.
Lostprophets
Thrice
Disturbed's current CD would be great. Defy and 10k Fists feel like a must. Lost Prophets lesser known songs work nicely. Taproot is more of a downer so don't go there. 30 Seconds to Mars is right there with Prophets if not better. Personally hate how 30secs became alt.pop-rock for college preps when their music is about struggle, so don't feel alone when that irony hits at a red light. enuff of thet...
Old rock like AC/DC, Clutch, Metalica, Megadeth, Motorhead, Pantera for starters. Davis's list basically covered the best. Not so much on new bands as that has the possibility to distract later and/or excite the mind in such a way you might get bored mid set. You want a familiar sound and prolonged upward feeling so I'd advice against certain forms of metal such as those Chris mentioned. No Lacuna Coil here and don't care how great Lamb of God is their songs can be less than satisfactory given the talent. Add Alice in Chains, Filter, Bush, Live, w/e long gone bands you've heard too much in your radio life time only not enough recently. Can't be hard all the time. You can put the heavy on later in the week, but the first CD should blow your head out. Aside from Flamey's "list" all comments were good.

hmm, how about Tenacious D ? Their latest movie was pretty cool IMO, and the soundtracks are pretty nice too. I really loved the final song during the credits called ' The Metal '. :)
