2 questions about firefox (in Off-topic)

ok my firefox works fine except sometimes when i open a new page(homepage is google) if i dont place my cursor somewheres and type, FF wants to search the page and i cannot stop this(meaning i close the search FF search tab and try to type a word to search google and FF autoatically puts what i typed into the search the page function) unless i close the page, is there anyway to disable this feature, id rather be lazy and press ctrl F when i want to find something. and second is about getting firefox to log me into cb when i go to this site, ff saves my info but i cant find where to get it to log in for me so i dont see the main cb page, i heard before about this.

on the log-in page check the box that says remember my login or whatever, i dont know what it says exactly, cuz mine logs me in automatically too, =)

Type about:config in the URL bar and there go find accessibility.typeaheadfind. Set that one to false.
