making money per BA (in General)

I started with 24k to buy 100 BA then I made 30k off of that 100 BA so it is possible to make money per BA

If you are not doing NCB, you should be able to make money. Just make sure your fightlist is good. But at higher levels, it would be hard because BA cost is quite high and not all your fights can generate enough cash to pay for the BA. I was playing my 740k MPR character and BA cost was almost 400/ BA and most of my fights yield between 200 to 400.

with NCB you cannot make money and buy BA...

The fact that you have 55M NW allows you to fight much higher opponents than someone without that gear, so your rewards are in line with your BA cost. For many/most characters, the rewards they can get from the opponents they can beat don't quite match their BA cost.

Another reason to lower the WA... Seriously, someone can reap rewards great enough to NET GAIN monetarily from buying BA? Imagine the gains such a team is seeing as far as experience too!

This is a good litmus test, actually. Are there any non-bonus mage teams out there that can say they make money when buying BA? Put another way, can a team showing full PR (no WA to hide power in) beat teams high enough to have a net gain in cash after buying BA?

I guess it doesn't have to be a mage team -- any team not using weapons as part of their NW/PR/strategy... Buy 100 BA, and check before/after cash. Can you make money off purchased BA if you choose your targets carefully (and high enough)?

(Though I should probably wait to see if there are non-weapon teams that can do the same thing...maybe it is merely a reflection of the rich targets at the intermediate stratum of CB-land...oops! Any chance to beat the dead horse! *smile*)

Caedmon, the NW wouldn't allow it if it properly reflected in total PR. That's the issue here, IMO.

NW-PR does make it difficult to do with NW, but as you see the quick and dirty damage of big weapons makes it possible again.

Hm, I was not aware of that... I guess I have only noticed NUB/NCB folks... In the meantime, targets have become plentiful enough for non-bonus teams to make cash. Cool! Thanks for the info!

Well now that I fight with an RoE and dropped 400k PR I only need one set of natural BA to cover my BA costs for the entire day. The rest is all profit, and I only use a VB around 11 mil NW, well under my WA.
