Donnie Darko Music? (in Off-topic)

In the 2001 director's cut of Donnie Darko, they play an awesome instrumental song during the Halloween party where Donnie seems like he's hallucinating. I tried looking it up online and it says the song is "The Killing Moon" by Echo and the Bunnymen. But as I remember it from the movie, it sounds nothing like the actual song. The actual song has words and stuff while the song they play in the movie doesn't have any. I don't know if they are similar because I can't remember the song from the movie exactly. Does anyone know if this is the song I'm talking about or if it's another song?

I don't know what the original is, but I do have the soundtrack to the movie.

Is there anything like an instrumental "The Killing Moon" version on the soundtrack? That's probably what I'm looking for.

I found the song I was talking about. It was taken from part of a 10 minute alternate version of 'The Killing Moon'.

Is it this song?
Mad World - Gary Jules?

That movie [and the soundtrack] freaking rule.

Yeah. I just saw it for the second time (original version this time) and you notice things after watching it more than once. I'm gonna watch the director's cut again so I can compare them. It's definitely one of my top favorite five movies.
