Dex Gap Big Deal or Not? (in General)

Well here we go... I have always had trouble with single ToA tanks but this is where it bugs me... How can a Dex gap of about 300k cause me to miss just about every time? It just doesnt really make sense to me. My dex is just under one million yet his is a little over 1.2. Why does it make that big a difference? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you taking into consideration his Evasion/DB's against your PTH and the penalties in ranged?

No evasion and no DB's on his part... and all he uses is elven gear and ToA. He hits me every time...

From the wiki:

1H melee weapons have a 50% higher base chance-to-hit than 2H weapons. The base chance means that a player with a 1 Handed weapon will hit more often than a player with a 2 Handed weapon, even if they have equal DX and PTH.

Also, equal dex only ensures a 50% chance to hit, so having less would prob hurt that quite a bit.

If your talking about BoB it looks like a 300k Difference

I know the reason ;)

You are NOT training archery and without a ToA, your CTH from dexterity and non-dexterity hits (ELB) only works at 20% of its full potential. Your opponent with a ToA has PTH from the ToA and the bow which makes him hit you pretty easily.

And if you are talking about Bob, he will definitely hit you since he is training archery which means his CTH from dexterity and non-dexterity will be at possibly 100%.

whoops thought he meant melee rounds for some reason :D
