Tornado hits Enterprise High School

This is right in my area...heck, I was at the college there not an hour beforehand with my g/f about to start class, but we decided to skip the class and head home because of the weather...a friend is still looking for his son, who attended Enterprise, and we're hoping he's not dead....so far 8 confirmed deaths at the HS. =(

And I still haven't heard anything yet on the damage last night when the second round went through. All I've heard so far was the reports of tornados touching down on the radio last night, don't know anything about where they hit or what they hit.

Close call. Never underestimate bad weather. Hope the kid is safe and in one piece.

I still don't get it, I really don't want to sound like a meany, or inconsiderate.

but why do people live in tornado places like that, like.. honestly?

Up here, the worst we have to look out for is frostbite on a few occasional days, and due to this warm weather, theres no bad things now.

Have you ever looked at the area the tornado alley covers? Hope the missing person is all right.

Lukey, we hardly ever have tornados down here.

Just some numbers, for anyone interested - over 230 houses were destroyed and many more are damaged. Couple of friends of mine are homeless, g/f's boss is homeless, lots of people trying to help with the damage. Bush came down and declared it a Federal Disaster area, so they can get gov't assistance....glad so many people are helping, 'cuz the place looks awful. Thanks for the well-wishes, too, Nov, Red, Vestax, Karn, Bee, Mian. =) Hopefully life will be back to normal soon
