Question: Evasion dexterity and axbow (in General)

Kong Ming March 5 2007 5:03 AM EST

If all minions have 20 as dexterity and one is training evasion, will an axbow seek the one training evasion because of the defensive dexterity? Also, does EC reduce defensive dexterity?

"does EC reduce defensive dexterity?"

Yes. I don't know about the other.

"will an axbow seek the one training evasion because of the defensive dexterity?"

Nope. I reported this a while ago. No one seemed to care.

I'm sure Jon changed this. I'll hunt the changelogs.

"Also, fixed play-by-play to show that axbow is continuing to apply this fixed drain to opponents with Evasion trained after natural dx goes below zero. (The actual drain code hasn't changed, it's just showing what happened more accurately now.)"

AXBows should continue to target a user with Evasion (and defensive Dex from that) and continue to drain the defensive dex after natural dex is gone, until another minion has a higher dex total.

I requested that change, but nowhere there does it imply that Jon altered defensive dexterity to let it been "seen" by axbows. I suspect that if you test things, you'll find that NS is still correct. I like things this way, if you want to use an ax for mage hunting, toss on seeker bolts.

I cared!

"if you want to use an ax for mage hunting, toss on seeker bolts."

That's why it hasn't changed, xbows will not need seekers making seeker bolts more useless than they already are.

It would make it unfair too, because chances are there wont be a tank on the mage team, leaving the mage with the highest DX (defensive).

Does the axbow target DX? Yes.

Should it? Yes.

Is Evasion the same as DX? No.

Is the axbow an anti-Tank weapon? Yes.

Should an anti-Tank weapon be hitting Mages, Walls, and Enchanters instead? No.

"Is Evasion the same as DX? No. "

That wasn't the question, it was "Is Defensive DX the same DX?" that's what he wanted to know, at least with Axbows, because it seems the defensive DX is the same as the defensive part on normal DX.

[T]Vestax March 6 2007 4:34 AM EST

That's sort of what I meant. Defensive DX is not DX.

Kong Ming March 6 2007 4:38 AM EST

ok, I believe an axbow will not target an evasion minion unless it has the highest dexterity. Or else seeker bolts would be useless since most mages will have some dexterity trained. Thanks guys!

Flamey March 6 2007 6:09 AM EST

"since most mages will have some dexterity trained."

Where? Or do you mean Evasion?

Kong Ming March 6 2007 9:19 AM EST

Oh I meant evasion ;)
