Accurate Armor (in General)

A Lesser AR of 15 [Red Permanent Assurance] March 10 2007 3:40 PM EST

With unbalanced to stupid buff ideas flying around again decided to fling one that may actually work. Thought of an AoA(amulet of accuracy) long time ago. Didn't see a need because UC & Evasion didn't appear to be a problem for anyone expect maybe me these days. OB and Mr.Chuckles have shown us how considerably powerful UC/Evasion can be. Bravo! This wouldn't effect them or most the players until Freed coughs up 2 paychecks.
My idea for the AoA came when the AoI did as a way to minor nerf those huge DBs. Don't think I was alone on thinking this could be the next amulet. Sure you could put +20 on the ELB and keep the AoM on, but figured the AoA to be a much cheaper solution and have some other widget tacked on as a selling point. Like ignoring the order affect of AoI. The big oldbie item for a quarter.
Many ways to reduce PTH with only one way to increase PTH outside of more DX. Fair deal considering the damage a tank can do in one round. Even so I'd like to see a PTH Armor be it new item or an addition to elven gear to a lesser degree(EGs would be perfect;).
Should be small opposition to this idea when the armor would be terribly expensive past +18 or so. Couple with junc for JKF or HF so they can have more value. Fun to think about. One more idea on Jon's shelf.
No notes from me on wep allo, BS prices for DBs/ELB/Morg/Bone/etc, views on Dx, 3 hits in 1 round, and "missing this one guy all the time" as those opinions are sure to follow this in some sort.

AoA: Adds 1 point to weapon accuracy per plus, with a similar upgrade curve to an AoAC?

ToA also increases pth, and Archery increase chance to hit too...

I find it amusing that when mages ask for more choices to play with they get summarily drummed out of forums, but tanks have no problem asking for more toys even though they already have a plethora of items, tattoos, skills, and enchantments to choose from...

Mages ask for new toys all the time, almost as much as tanks do, unless I'm half-blind. Also, I do think evasion's gotten too powerful as I have to have a +75 weapon plus a ToA plus archery to hit someone my MPR enough to kill them (as in, before round 4, not as in I need it to hit them 3 times per round). That's a bit much for most people around 280k MPR, don't you think Sut? Also, I don't think it's fair to discriminate mage vs. tank because I don't have a biased point of view, I even want to remove seekers (and yes my strat is _the_ strat that would use them).

And on a much lighter note, if you can't beat 'em join 'em!

How big is your opponents DB's th00p? Because unless he has some sort of epic DX advantage or its a full evasion minion, I doubt you would need that sort of equipment to hit.

No kidding. Tanks have so much junk mages look better. This was mainly in response to a better ELS & quiver to break up the un-originality while watching The Transporter 2 afkishly.
Didn't think CTH was worth mentioning as it is CTH. :P
Also there is that chance Jon would nerf PTH on ToA with the AoA or w/e. Didn't want to mention that firsthand as them fighting words to the masses as you kind of pointed out.

Dreky: he's not even wearing DBs.

And as far as DX advantage goes, he has ~150k DX compared to my ~400k.
