Strat Talk: Help Moosh Beat You. (in General)

GO PATS March 20 2007 2:52 AM EDT

Hey all... I've been pondering lately and I'd like some help... Check out my strat first, then tell me what you think of my ideas... (I wasn't exactly sure how to post this in HTML, and that handy news link is gone now and I never read it while it was there... )

http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/9900/jimcbshot3cs5.jpg

Basically, I'm running into the problem that my smaller tank is never doing any damage... this is for two reasons... he dies pretty quickly and he misses alot... (He was designed basically to be an AS E that would do decent damage to mages for a round or two with seekers...) My thought...

1. Change my FF (which is normally on my MM/Junction Mage) to a ToA, and put it on my smaller tank...

2. Take the EH (and buy a CoI) and put them on Mage... yeah yeah, EH on a mage? Well it's only 2% DD reduction, so I like it...

3. Take Junction EXP and put it into a. HP b. MM or c. HP and MM...

So basically, this would make my mini-tank into a better archer and he would do more damage... my mage would also do more damage... my main tank would continue training like he is, to keep DX up there... but it also comes to mind that I use two AoI's and that the ToA tank would get killed very quickly...

so...

4. I could hire another minion (All DM probably) and he would help bear the brunt of the attack... if I a. got another AoI or b. just put him in back, to take MM damage, and hope that the ToA tank would be helped by all the extra DX and get missed by a tank, or have enough HP to stay alive another round... and if I do get another AoI, I would probably put the mage in the back (actually, DB's instead of EB's and some Evasion would be nice... ) but if I do that, the back would be wasting the evasion... or I could do all the evasion stuff and move the AoI off the mage onto the ToA tank...

Give me some advice... I really want to keep my three damage dealers, all with HoC's... I'm just looking to kill quicker, win more often, defend better, all that... What do you think? FF or ToA? And if ToA, where would you move the gear to and what place should I put the minions in? Another minion or wait? (I'm leaning towards wait...) Also, if ToA should I just put all of my mages Junction EXP into evasion and get some DB's? I think I'm going over the same stuff again... Just give me some thoughts, if you feel like it.

You've basically got 4 damage dealers. 3 of them small with diluted xp and 1 that can do decent damage (the familiar). I would ideally cut that down to a max of 2 damage dealers and change the remainder into supporting enchanters or walls.

Ok, thanks for the info... but I already know that my strategy isn't perfect... I'm just saying I want to make the strat I have (3 damage dealer - HoC Shock Team) and see how far I can get it... the question I am asking is which tattoo will help me achieve this more? FF or ToA? And if it is the ToA, there are many other new problems I must face so I was looking for opinions on that matter...

Again, "I really want to keep my three damage dealers, all with HoC's... I'm just looking to kill quicker, win more often, defend better, all that..."

"kill quicker, defend better"
The two aren't mutually exclusive, but it's more effective to do one or the other...

i think u should put a ToA on the smaller tank

Think about it this way, if you change the FF into a ToA, you not only lose the ability to take out other's Enchanters without wasting the archer rounds on them, you also lose another damage Dealer. If you are worried about your mini tank missing all the time it leaves two choices, upgrade the + on your weapons, or change him to an E. Sorry to say it but if you want quick kill, the FF helps you out more than the mini tank would, even with a ToA

Riddle me this, would you prefer to have all your WA in one set of weapons or split it between two and be half as powerful?

My two hundred cents

If you have an ExBow or AxBow with a decent pth and damage, it can be extremely effective on a mini-tank. You don't have to do lots of damage and even one hit can cut down large stats. I have a +100 AxBow equipped on a guy with minimal dex and strength and he gets the job done unless facing huge evasion bonuses.
