going on the honor system here. Who, without using google can name this quote for me.

"Welcome to my house; enter freely and of your own will. Welcome to my house. Come freely. Go safely; and leave something of the happiness you bring."

AdminG Beee March 29 2007 6:05 PM EDT

Some sucker from Europe ?

QBJohnnywas March 29 2007 6:06 PM EDT

I was going to say that, especially as I used to live near Whitby.

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] March 29 2007 6:07 PM EDT

Dracula? I remember it from something like it, cuz my gymnastics coach played drac in a play and he said something like that if i remember correctly

QBJohnnywas March 29 2007 6:09 PM EDT

It's on page twenty of my copy of the book...

Doh - "sucker from Europe" wasn't good enough..?

Personally I thought that was rather funny given he sucks blood and lives in Romania. Oh well, teach me I suppose.

AdminNightStrike March 29 2007 6:17 PM EDT

G, I got your reference :)

Adminedyit March 29 2007 6:37 PM EDT

ok last one was too easy. this should be a little more challenging. and again no google.

"We almost pity you. Usurper of Caine's legacy. Worthless spawn of a progenitor who aped and raped his way to immortality. We know what they whisper in your chantries. Your elders admonish you to commit suicide, rather than fall in the clutches of the Fiends. In this, if nothing else, your elders speak truth.
But think of what comes next as a learning experience. You will learn how a true vampire treats his lessers and punishes his enemies. I advise you to pray to your god. The god of your mortality, not Caine. You see we are Caines childer. And believe me, you are in hell..."

AdminNightStrike March 29 2007 6:51 PM EDT

I think you bowdlerized that quote :)

Adminedyit March 29 2007 6:53 PM EDT

what?

AdminNightStrike March 29 2007 7:15 PM EDT

It means to remove offensive material. Some of the words in your quote are different, and I thought it was to comply with the board's restrictions.

Godpanda March 29 2007 7:15 PM EDT

Okay... *thinks of all the vampires he can*

Some of the following guesses -will- offend you.

Dracula.
Lestat.
Armand.

Yeah... don't have anymore.

Adminedyit March 29 2007 7:21 PM EDT

I did remove 1 word that HAD to be taken out other than that it's verbatim.

AdminNightStrike March 29 2007 7:24 PM EDT

yeah, that's what I was referring to

Lord Bob March 29 2007 7:28 PM EDT

Crap, I'm too late.

It's definitely from Dracula.

Lord Bob March 29 2007 7:37 PM EDT

Oh wait, there's another quote.

Let me pull out my game books...

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] March 29 2007 7:39 PM EDT

Awesome, thanks edyit, =))

Slashundhack [We Forge Our Own Stuff] March 29 2007 7:54 PM EDT

Wasn't there a computer vamp. game called Caines legacy or some such name ? Is it one from that series of games ?

Adminedyit March 29 2007 7:59 PM EDT

that was The Legacy of Kain and it was an awesome game series but no thats not it.

Lord Bob March 29 2007 8:02 PM EDT

If it was from one of the computer games than it was either from Vampire: the Masquerade - Redemption, or Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines. Can't say which one, because the copy of Redemption that I bought was defective, and my computer won't run Bloodlines.

I'm still consulting the books.

Lord Bob March 29 2007 8:15 PM EDT

Clanbook Tzimisce. First Edition.

nice work btw

Lord Bob March 29 2007 8:23 PM EDT

Dude, you rule.

Kudos on the vampire theme you have going here, and for using the name Sascha Vycos.

DiabloSpawn March 30 2007 12:41 PM EDT

and how do you verify that someone didn't use Google ?? ;)

Xenko March 30 2007 12:50 PM EDT

I believe the first sentence of the thread answers that question:

"going on the honor system here."

Lord Bob March 30 2007 2:05 PM EDT

"and how do you verify that someone didn't use Google ??"

The first quote was obvious. That was one of the most famous lines from Dracula.

The second you probably won't find on any Google search.

DiabloSpawn March 30 2007 2:07 PM EDT

oh ok ;)
