Name Items and Unviewable Stats (in General)
Why can we only see the stats of the top 5 of each item in the overview? We can see every named items stats even if its a base named dagger. I can really careless as I voted to be able to see peoples stats in that poll (you guys know which one im tlakin about), but some people may have a dummy item on them to disguise their strat a little. Maybe it should be changed, and all of the items be listed alphabetically as to not give NW away?

Just use the named items list.
Ahem...someone didn't feel like reading me thinks... and could someone change the subject to Named Items and Unviewable Stats as I miss typed and it will annoy the stuffing out of me.

"someone didn't feel like reading me thinks."
It's very hard to read an incoherent sequence of letters...
Please, rephrase what you wrote in such a way that it does make more sense.
What is the point of showing the stats of only the top 5 items of each item type when we can see every named items stats? ...
Some people may have items on their chars that they are trying to confuse their enemy with.
Maybe it should be changed so that none of the named items in the Community>Trivia>Named Weapon/Armor should not show the stats ( +'s or x's and NW ).
Maybe list them alphabetically so that people cannot see if they are of high or low nw.

If you want to confuse, do not use named items ;)
So if you want to have the "biggest", or be in the Top 5, you know what you need to invest?
Red, it helps to prevent the scams that went on previously where a whip would be named Katana and sold at the higher price.
People should be smart enough to be sure of stats and use a PR thread for named tems really but at least with the way it is you can just be called an idiot if you fall into the trap.
well the named items would still be listed, just without stats. like my ELB would be listed under Elven Long bow, in alphabetical order , without X, + and NW. So if there is a whip named katana, it would be listed under whip.
Adding even more tables into an already packed game?
I know we have a new server but there is no need to clog it up as soon as you possibly can.
The current system is perfectly fine, the idea of naming items is to show them off (yes you do get a small bonus but few do it for that) and that is what is currently happening.

the only reason i name my items is for the bonus....
Then you take the hit for that bonus.
Yes you are paying for the liberty but if you're going to name an item to either gain the bonus or to 'disguise' yourself then the current form is the balancing factor, people know the stats of the item.
I'd assume that a large number of players look for people they can beat rather than researching specific item stats beforehand, many players generally know the type of strat they can beat and the level of NW they are capable of facing and base their lists off that rather than specific item stats.
It could just be me but I have never tried being that ridiculously thorough with any of it and I'd like to think that a majority of others aren't as lifeless as that either.
I can understand that a fair few who post regularly in the strategy threads may do this but this makes up only a minority of actual players.
I applaud those that have the time to waste away with it as they have helped many a player hone their strategies but the likelihood that players will check up on your named items regularly is slim.
Was just a suggestion. :/ ... guess i deserved carppage. I actually think it's a cool feature, just thought that poll we ran a while back held some significance since it is still basically showing a part of your characters strat which is the other half of the exp trained.
For those who think what I last said was confusing...
Character Strategy = Items on Minions + Skills and Stats
chances are, if they kill you, its not because they researched every item you own and weighed their options and eked out a difficult victory... Chances are, they came accross your character in a fightlist, and clicked 'Fight', and seeing as they killed you, it worked out for them... You're not really losing anything...
No, but if someone is determined to beat you, they can look at the page and adjust their strat accordingly...
