Your equipment is stealing your xp and $$ (in General)

I've done a little bit of experimentation lately, and I've come to the conclusion in the title of this thread. You see, Your equipment adds PR to you (and affects your fight rewards) every fight, but for how many fights does it really provide anything?

I took off my tattoo a few weeks ago, and my fight rewards skyrocketted. I took off a bunch of other expensive equipment recently, too. The result was that I lost one entry on my 20 person fight list (they went from an automatic win to only half the time). However, every other entry on my fight list is now producing ~1-5% higher rewards from the increase in challenge bonus. My challenge bonus is in the dirt, too (average only about 5% to begin with). I imagine for folks that are much lower than me in PR, the gains can be much more significant.

So, try it. Take off some equipment, fight some fights, and see if maybe losing a person or two off of your fight list is worth the increased rewards you gets from having a lower PR. Here are some guides: if you can get 100% challenge bonus with your current equipment, you will gain nothing by this. If your equipment doesn't add that much PR to you as it is, you will gain very little for this. If the equipment has an effect that isn't based on the NW (HoC, AoI), it probably won't help to take it off. For people that can't get a challenge bonus (read: top 10-20 or so), this won't help, so stock up on the all the tattoos and equipment you can find!

ok i got one thing to say (well besides RoE) every tattoo gains it own xp so it levels buy it self so not have a tattoo of some kind is kinda a waste right?

Well, they don't really pay for anything... I had a 17 Mill Network tattoo and The highest I could sell it for was 3 Mill. Not really what I call paying for itself :D

Thats because low level tattoos aren't worth nearly as much as high level tats, they are way to common. If you had one of the top 10 tats you could easily get around 100% money when you insta it or even more.

I just took off all my heavy AC armor and no difference to my fightlist. The only tattoos that make a difference are the RoE, ToE and ToA.

Yeah, I've also noticed little no no effect when I wear armor (for AC) or not. Taking off my armor doesn't affect my challenge bonus, cause its too cheap ;) I also don't like to leave my character naked ;)

Note that this only applies if you can't achieve 100% challenge bonus with your items on. If you CAN, then its actually benefiting you.. I think (its either pr/vpr OR mpr that max rewards are based off of). I believe its PR (or vpr, basically the same for my point).

It's VPR. Virtual Power Rating was created for the express purpose of being used to calculate fight rewards and BA costs. PR just wasn't getting the job done.
