With my named HG +16 junctioned to a JKF, what would be the final bonus applied to the familiar? Would it just be 16 * 1.04 * 1.5 * 1.5 = 39, or some other formula? Even at 39, that's a huge amount.
by my lousy math the result should be a 25% bonus to the JKF's str
where are you getting the second *1.5?
HG's bonus to UC is 1.5 * the enchantment.
Oh, yeah, I was talking about UC bonus, not ST bonus... sorry, should have clarified.
Ahh, only get the extra *1.5 for STR as I understand it.
I guess it'd be somewhat challenging to see what your final UC value is... You'd probably have to take a bunch of data with and without, and see if your hit counts go up by 25% or 39%.
STR w/out huge HG: 23,612
STR w/huge HG: 40,732
So I'm missing something (not surprising), cause 23,612 * 1.25 is 29k, not 40k.
I can't think of a single way to test the change to the UC level, but I'm almost completely sure the bonuses for Junction only apply to STR and DEX.
"Junction transfers both positive and negative effects (such as armor dx penalties) but as junction gets higher it can block out the negative. At 1.0 you get 100% of the positive effect for most things, and 150% for ST and DX."
BTW...thanks for letting me get my grubby mitts on one of the baddest items in game...
Np. Do you want it for the rest of XP time?

Baddest item in game? Now there's an understatement ;)
Those HG's are pure evil.
Sadly, because I'm most mostly using the JKF as a dancing meat shield rather than damage doer, the only real result is a 4% penalty to my Decay. But thanks for the offer!
I just realized what you meant -- that's an increase of 73%. Those are some amazing gauntlets!!
23612 * 1.17 = 27627
27627 * 1.5 = 41440
That's a little closer.... still not right, though.
